I have 2007 suburban the engine went out replace it with a 2010 suburban but when I hook up the code reader it won't read do I have to change the ecm to a 2010

change the ecm to a 2010 no...check your fuses The ECM and engine are matched - if you changed the ECM when you changed the engine, that may work. However, if you didn't, your ECM is probably confused
