2004 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab "oil change lite stays" Questions

oil life lite I just purchased a 2004 gmc sierra z71..love it but i had taken it back to the dealer cause the engine oil life came on so they changed the oil and told me that they reset the oil life..
