...coming into the distributor to make sure you have a full 12 to 13 volts. If you do then I recomend that you replace the rotor and distributor cap first. Let me know. Good luck. Dont forget to

make sure the cap was not put on crooked and bend a tab or broke the rotor or broke the steel tab off the rotor. Also check to make sure that you did not accidently unhook any wires to the distributor
