bad miss and a knocking noise comming from the engine I turned it off waited ten minutes restarted it and it was perfect no m As above after restarting it there was no knock or miss ? Two things I can

missing real bad temp gauge went went to hot and coolent tank filled up those are syptoms of a bad head gasket. have a shop do a "block check" to verify it.
