Whirlpool GSC9455 Top Load Washer "gold spin cycle" Questions

Gold washer clicks 2 or 3 times a second after the wash cycle when it is trying to spin. It seems like the motor cuts on and off over and over and over, so the spin never gets up to the correct speed.
