JVC Rx 5020v Stereo Receiver "sherwood 2030r" Questions

Sherwood RX-2030R, 45 Watt receiver that will not tune to the lower AM stations. It tunes between 1320 and 1710 and will not even display the lower AM stations. The FM stations seem to tune correctly.
