If your fuses are unresponsive after replacing, or do not seem blown, then your is more than likely the culprit, and will need to be replaced. Soldering skills are required, and this is a pretty complicated more...
just possible that all you have done is to blow a fuse in the unit, if no external fuse holders are visible then the transformer is almost certainly burnt out - this could be replaced but it is unlikely to be something you can do yourself.

so, than the components around that area will need to be replaced. Generally R213 gets burnt, and Q2, Q3 get burnt, causing assistance. You might also want to take a look at your fuses, which are located on the left side on a smaller PC more...
shorted out causing a total power failure. i have checked the fuses and the fuse in the plug but still no life. the collector and emitter and the turntable strobe lit up.i got a replacement transistor from the uk for £0.80.i hope this helps you out.darren more...
