ALWAYS do the volume and power for the television but will not always control the receiver. I have noticed when I put it right beside the receiver it works. They said that plasma tv's cause the remote
always to do a soft reset of your cable box. Do this by using your remote to turn it off, and then manually unplug it from the wall. Leave it off for about five minutes or so and then turn it on again
