the top off the battery.Usually they are not soldered but being soldered shouldnt stop you.If the battery is soldered to,usually that isnt needed.Good Luck! If you have made custom settings in BIOS or any changes, they will be lost more...

sounds like bios update error. can you access the bios?before the bue screen does it go through the splash screen? if so check can. if you replaced the hdd from another laptop it may not work unless its more...
