It sounds like the drum encoder is bad and will need to be replaced. Is it still under warranty? Call Xerox. Or find someone who is trained to fix printers to repair it for you. Good Luck. more...

to properly seat the cartridge unplug the printer...replug it buy a BRAND NAME cartridge P.S: don't have your cartridges refilled, it may void the warranty and damage the printer if done wrong hope this helps more...

If you didn't chosse the maintenance mode and delete some parameters accidenticaly the main board is
defective and needs replacement (very expensive spare part)
