a power reset because the battery might have spiked it (when it died).
I was wondering if that was related to the firmware or bios of the
machine? It was fine one second and then just powered down and now

and when you try the battery, apply manual pressure (press on the battery) to add force to the contact. See if problem persist. Software (firmware) update - I am not aware of any updates for your particular model GR-DX67EK, however pls try here. Again, good luck and would appreciate more...
