Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer "happens answers fax" Questions

fax is cutting off answering machine i have the fax machine set to "pick up after 5 rings". I have the answering machine set for 5 rings before the answering machine kicks in. What is happening is....

fax machine not answering! Have you gone through the setting up of the FAX program? These things can be sort of confusing sometimes. Try going through the Setup again and seeing what happens.

fax is plugged into the modem and the modem is connected to the phone jack (no filter). Co axle cable is connected to modem also from outside...please help...thanks there are loads of reasons why this
