HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook "toshiba 28 fault" Questions

toshiba Satellite P-850 clock loosing time I have reset the clock every day and it looses time. I keep the laptop plugged in always. What would be the problem? It *might* be - that the "CMOS battery"

toshiba satellite a215 loses connection with the power cord and must be jiggled to re-establish power connection. Is there a DIY fix or do I need to take it some where?? The fault could be the adapter
