are you using a router in your computer configuraton, if so check the ports that are open for transmission of cam video signal. Also slow internet connection would have a major effect on the ability to use video, more so on some services then on others, but more...

altogether (fixed my removing Microsoft Silverlight which Microsoft Update had installed) ... now this ... exactly the same problem - black screen saying "No Signal !!" in top left hand corner. Please help more...
