unit run okay, but can't change hum. percent on front unit did not run. Had fuse out . replaced fuse. Now seems to work okay, but can't change % of humidity on front Using it ,as is.
The dehumidifier hums and makes a squeaky noise but does not turn on. Get someone with a clamp meter to check your v, and then your Amps drawn, you could find a fault on the compressor here. Goodluck

fan won't spin. seems to be stuck and it hums. The motor bearing may need some machine oil or the fan set screw that attaches the fan blades to the motor shaft may be loose.
what should the room humidity % be set at what should the room humidity % be compared to the humidity %? I am trying to get the humidifier to run normal hum for a room is around 20%
is probably the start device(the coil looking things), as long as you don't hear the compressor humming. A loud hum is a lock compressor and the cost would be far greater than a new unit
