Depending on the brand and model of the motherboard, your concern is indicative that the SATA is not enabled. Pls enable, save and exit,

to press "DEL" for setup etc.,. This is inconsistent as after a few re-starts it will pass that stage and check IDE drives. After rebooting it will start the hanging process again. I am stumped!! I also cannot afford to be without my PC for a long time. Pls
