LG 50PX4DR 50 in. Plasma TV "600" Questions

My plasma TV says 60hz refresh rate....why not 600? 60 hz means 60 times per second the screen is refreshed. 120hz is next then 240hz. only the newer ones have 120 and 240. i never heard of 600
