a Brother shop owner mentioned about the belt? (though he did not actually see the machine)? But after taking the machine apart (cleaning, throughly oiling, checking etc), we did not see anything wrong with the belt! i.e No wear & tear, marks etc - all original with even teeth more...

thread still tangles, as described. I tried replacing the needle, removing the feed dog (couldn't), switching the direction of the threaded bobbin, cleaning & oiling moving parts. Great if you could tell me how to fix this! The little machine is a gem. Thanks, Jeanette more...
