Compaq Presario 5000 PC Desktop "winxp sp2 key" Questions

sp2 ...its good For some reason the Bios wont allow the CD ROM to recognize and CD at startup. I have tried many cd's from win98 to winXP, both burned and factory discs, ISOs and setups. Nothing works
