Casio Exilim EX-Z750 Digital Camera "exy" Questions

Casio exi-lim Ex-v7 Camera appears to turn on - it beeps and green led flashes but screen and zoom do not apear to function. Without the screen can not tell what is going on. Unit is christmas present
