fan comes on ,it's good.check water pump pulley for wobbly pulley while motor not running, shake pulley back @ forth for play. any play in pulley means bad water pump. are the belts on? i went through

pump pulley, the cooling fans may not be operating (this could be a faulty temp sensor, fuse, relay, wiring or the fan motor itself). Check the easy stuff first. Fuse box, radiator coolant level, belt

heat when in town driving.. sounds like a problem with the thermostat stuck closed and foorcing antifreese out the overflow leaving you with over heating car replace should fix problem around 20 bucks
