Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver "stopped working reset button" Questions

2 years old and stopped working, I pressed the reset button and now it works fine. Garmin wanted to charge me £75 to fix it. Sounds like they are designed to stop working after so long! what a rip off
