memory on this older pc or do I have a possibly bad module. Hi there Your t1090 will only accept a maximum chip size of 256Mb and so it will not accept the added the 512mb chip as it cannot handle it.

added memory. If you have 2- 1GB sticks, try both , one at a time. Your system spec's and manual tell nothing which dimm banks are suppose to be used , and if you can install 2-1GB sticks, all it says
