Philips MX3950 System "sharp tv optical audio port" Questions

Sharp Aquos Tv with plenty of HDMI ports. I also have a Cox digital cable box bringing the signal in. Just today I picked up a Panasonic DVD/surround system, (SC-PT 770) but it's only got 1 HDMI port.
