RCA 15L500TD picture turns off sound OK

picture will turn off but the sound is OK..I turn it off for 10 mins and the problem repetes itself...I dont see the cooling fan come on. anyway to fix it or wire the fan to run all the time so it will not over heat...thanks more...

Sounds to me like your internal cooling fans are not working. Try placing a fan behind your tv and seeing if it stays on longer. If it does then you'll know it's more...
