Troubleshooting Eject problem for Technics SL-MC4 61-Disc CD Changer
recorders need to clear their memory between the "test" pass and the "write" pass. For some recorders, the only command that does this is "eject". If the recorder has a tray it just goes out and back in, but if it uses a caddy manual intervention is needed.

and turned it off.
When I turned it back on( maybe 20min later),nothing would work. It turns on that's it, no function button's work. The Eject button won't even work to release the CD Magazine. What's up w/ That?

cd that is inside plays perfectly and the rest of the system works fine. Have tried unplugging the unit etc. The unit makes the eject sound but the drawer does not open.
