That will depend upon the make and model. Some systems use an integrated amp-pac which is a large IC. Others use discrete components (transistors etc.) Please update this with the make and model, and I should be able to provide you with more details. Thanks, Dan Thenks for more...
I am working on one right now, it has blown output transistors and several upstream transistors and burned resistors as well. This channel of the amp will need a rebuild. Use a volt meter and, with more...
change any. someone told me they thought i had to?
I dont know any tips to help me. i dont want to burn the transistors out by doing or not doing the right thing.

and left. I ordered a new relay from electronic goldmine as agood measure. I have worked on ab amplifiers before and have replaced power transistors before. When locating the power amp module I am assuming that they are on the heat sink like power transitors on older amps. Just more...
black IC attached to a heatsink. That should be the output amp pac. If there is not one, there should be 4 3-legged parts (transistors) and one or more of those may have failed. I have also seen cases where a voltage regulator that supplies the driver circuits has more...
inside that I don't know anything about. Could this be suspect ?
Would a short in the speaker wires and resulting damage to output transistors blow the 250V fuses ?
Thanks for your help

heat sink the front channels are at each end. It is the front left channel (close to the display) This requires that the output transistors be replaced as well as some driver transistors and some resistors and a capacitor. Lots of work for a blown channel. Denon has put more...
