same model and same issue. I just replaced the bulb with no improvement. All I can come up with is maybe the mirror or lenses have become discolored with age or use. A new bulb is not the solution. more...

infact a color wheel issue. your mainboard is likely ok. these units use a spinning wheel with colored lenses to reproduce color. yours is bad. more...

the same problem with SONY VLP FX50 multimedia projector. I think one of the filters (RED) is "burned out" someone suggested that a similar lens filter for photografes are OK to use but never tried it myself. more...
