Fargo DTC400 ID Card Printer Package "dtc300" Questions

I have a Fargo DTC400 and when I put in the ribbon, it says "INVALID RIBBON". The ribbon is for the DTC300 but they look similar, I think. Does anyone have experience with this? Does the DTC300 ribbon
