RC MINI Cooper S Convertible - Mini Cooper Remote Controlled Car "need 10 feet car" Questions

need to remove the cap nut from the axle of a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. So far, I've only been able to remove the red, plastic material that covers the cap nut. Any help will be greatly appreciated
