most likely, there is a fuse that is blown. there is a big fuse that is connected from the high voltage capacitor with the power transformer secondary section. if you a tech person, you can do it on your own if not..do not even think about more...
If it blows the fuse as soon as you hit the START button, it's almost certainly a shorted high-voltage capacitor.
If it blows a few seconds after you hit the START button, it's probably the high-voltage transformer. You'll possibly also smell a faint electrical burning more...
if you take it apart and let the thing sit unplugged for a while to let the voltage bleed out of the high voltage capacitor. Most newer ones are self bleeding and don't take too long to do so. more...
it not the case. the microwave is only 1 1/2 months old. from my research it is the magentorid, voltage diode, or capacitor. i am needing to narrow these down because two of the three are as much as the microwave it self. more...
The high-voltage transformer is being overloaded by something shorting it out. Either the magnatron or the high-voltage capacitor and diode. Replace the capacitor and diode then if still not working, replace the magnatron. Its only affordable if you do it yourself - more...
the other (high voltage) side of this transformer. If the power is there, you are looking at replacing either the magnatron or the high-voltage capacitor and diode. Its affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron" more...
Starting Capacitor I was told to replace the starting capacitor on my Frigidaire Microwave in order to get the exaust hood fan to work again. (it more...
