I believe that you will need to have the torque converter replaced. This can be caused by a faulty or worn out torque converter as well. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one

before replacing the engine. Is there any plug I could have missed when reconnecting the engine to the car? Sounds like the torque converter may not be bolted in properly. Good place to start checking
