have a 1989 model NEWCO coffee maker model RC-28F serial no. 97729E which is not working properly. We pour water into the resouvour, it heats up, BUT the water does not travel from there to where the filter with coffee grounds it located. Perhaps we are missing a part?

If the machine is plugged in and the water comes out cold you could have a problem with the water heater (which is electrical on all espresso machines).
