Code E3 New humidifier. Installed 11/15/08. Worked great until today. I have the same type of Aprilaire humidifier unit with automatic temperature sensing control. My unit also displayed the 'E3' code
...then unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and the code will be cleared. Just shutting the humidifier off won't clear the code, it has to be unplugged from the power to clear the flashing
