no power indicater HP Pavilion dv1000

HP Pavilion DV1000 laptop No power, no light Have 18.5 volts at power cable goto computer Computer made like a small pop and just went totally off instently. I waited a few minutes and turned on again it worked for about 5 minutes and did it again Now no power indicator and will not turn on with battery or power cable do you think a fuse or power supply. I alos checked and it could be a board

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS SEEMS VERY MUCH LIKE A POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM IF IT WAS A FUSE THAT FIRST POP WOULD HAVE BEEN IT AND IT WOULD NOT HAVE COME BACK ON
