Printing wrong colors

MyCannon Pixma ip 8500 just started printing green instead of black. Is this software or hardware problem? What is likely wrong? What will it cost to have fixed? Thanks, Pat

Chances are you either need to get refills for your ink or you have dirty heads. If my printer is sitting for a long time, I will get a damp cloth and "gently" clean off the printer head(where the ink actually meets the paper). This will usually free up any dried up ink and it will print like new. You will need to realign the printer head if you do this though. Good Luck!
