First, turn off AC, refrigerator, all lights, water heater, and pump.

any of those will draw current and make sparks when connecting the terminal on the battery.

check the amount of current draw with an ampmeter.

use an ohmmeter to check the wire to ground - without connecting the battery to see if there really is a dead short to ground.

If you don't really understand above, then: get to a RV repair place that is familiar with winnebago older models.

good luck.

I have a Teton Experience - and I can assure you, it is an experience. the sliding door (also called a 'pocket door') on mine is becoming increasingly difficult to slide - either in or out - - and it apears to have been 'built into' the wall behind the power panels (circuit breaker panels) and the closet next to entry door. Serious dismantling on mine will be required to 'fix' it or even lubricate it.

it is not clear what you are asking, since what you posted isn't a question. - - - try googling your make and model and year on the internet to find weight. or contact manufacturer and ask - while you have the VIN in front of you.

it is a little important that this task be done right (draining water system). if you don't get the water all out, when it freezes, it may rupture the containers.

consult manufacturer's specs on draining it. or check with an RV place as they will have had experience.

you can: 1. hire a locksmith to open it.
or 2. drill the keyway out, and fish it open. once open, replace the entire mechanism.

RVs | Answered on Sep 12, 2018

possibly something obstructing slide travel has lodged on one edge. suggest open it again, and check that. lubricate the mechanism.

fuse blown. or - switched off at the main control - below bathroom in my 5th wheel. there is an over-ride switch on mine, at the main control unit accessed from below. you would need to post the make, model, year in order to get other than generic help.
