My camper water heater quit working. It has a Suburban water heater and when it quit working the reset switch did not light up. On/off does nothing. Do you think it is the switch or something else?

You didn't state if it was an electronic ignition type or not. You didn't state if it was AC + LP either. Assuming it is LP only and has electronic ignition, and the light is not coming on I would first look for a 12V fuse for the water heater. If you are lucky that might be all that it is.

The fuse would normally be located in the Charger/Converter Breaker/Fuse panel.

Beyond that you would have to start testing with a meter or test light to see if you have voltages to the unit.

It is common for the ignition boards to go out too. But those are a bit pricey. If you aren't handy electronically, have a meter, and a wiring diagram, it might be worth having a qualified technician troubleshoot this for you.

What is the red light that has just come on, near the kitchen sink?

If you have a Suburban water heater, it may be the overtemp reset light. If you have hot water, don't worry about it.

Where do i find the switch for my Hotwater heater inside my keystone vr1 323fks

I don't have this model, but it is usually on the main control panel along with main lighting, slides, etc. Usually near the entrance.

Forest river manuals

Contact the manufacturer of the coach for their owner's manual. However, each appliance will have a separate owner's manual form its perspective manufacturer, i.e., Water Heater = Suburban, A/C = Dometic, Refrigerator = Norcold, etc.. There will not be a diagram of electrical or plumbing as a majority of the RV manufacturers do not publish that information.

On my 2010 trailmaster 269bhs the hotwater doesnt work can i switch is to straight gas instead of electric

You can switch it out but pretty labor intensive. You cannot just add a gas option to the unit. You will have to replace it with a gas heater and then plumb it to the tanks. The existing unit probably has something simple like a safety sensor that went bad or a heating coil.
