Question about Jayco 2013 Jay Flight Swift 264BH

Brakes locked like in park and is sending surge back through the truck causing the module for brake system to blow. Can pull with out power but as soon as power is added will lock. Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like your break-away key has pulled out! Make sure your break-away key is FULLY IN PLACE, and that the break-away switch hasn't simply failed.

Often the shifter will be hard to move if the vehicle is on a slope and there's extra pressure on the parking lock up. Try pulling or pushing the RV to remove pressure on drive train and see if it shifts.

Hello could someone help me out with a 350 7.5 liter RV 1985 Econoline wiring schematics diagram it no running lights are rear brakes .


The running lights and brake lights circuits were both designed and installed by Ford. The E-350 chassis was used for a variety of vehicles, from cargo vans to RV and light utility trucks. The rear lighting will be the same schematic for these vehicles.

Schematics for these vehicles can be found in most public libraries, in technical or "shop"/repair manuals for almost every vehicle ever made. If your are not familiar with these manuals, ask a librarian for assistance in find the correct publication for a 1985 FORD E-350.

The RV manufacturer probably spliced into the Ford wiring for the rear lights on you vehicle. The fuses for both circuits should be under the hood.

If your brakes lights don't work, your cruise control should also stop functioning. The cruise control gets it's ground by being wired into the positive side of the brake lights. The ground is actually supplied across the filament of the brake light bulb. When power is supplied to the brake lights the cruise control loose it,s ground and stops working..

Get a manual from the library, and you should fix two problems at the same time.

Have a S96T vanguard 1980 camper, new to me. When the right hand signal light is on the running lights flash on.need original routing scammatic


Check for a bad, loose or corroded ground first. A bad ground can cause all sorts of funny things that make no sense. I have seen a bad ground cause the instrument lights flash when the brakes are applied, in a car.

Slide out blows fuses 2006 Discovery Bedroom slides


Does it move at all? Or does the circuit/ fuse ,pop as soon as you replace? Reset it?,,

has as any other work been done recently?, one last thing. Release the parking brake?, then replace the fuse, does it still pop?( the brake completes the circuit and allows current to the slide-out switch). In other words, if the fuse blows w the brake released? It gets me closer. Lastly?, how many slides do you have,? I own an old fleet wood,(1996), let me know, frank, 3143031728

one under dash and one under hood .like any big VAN .. if emergency brake is not holding get it adjusted at a brake shop you really need good working brakes on those animals

Just bought a new 2013 thor hurricane and the auto leveling jacks wont go down. The motor is running, the parking brake on, but the auto leveler wont turn on but all the buttons to the left are flashing...


Is it a Lippert (LCI) system? If so, it sounds like the system needs to be calibrated. You can go to LCI1.com and they have a support section where you can find your leveling system with instructions to re-calibrate.

Surge Guard 50amp - no shore power


Do you have good power that the outlet. I have seen many issues at RV parks of not having sustained power or one leg of the breaker going bad causing loss of power. If you do have good power coming into the surge protector but not out. Then go through the reset procedures for the surge protector. If it will not reset, then the surge protector has failed and will need to be replaced. If power is coming through then check the main breakers in the coach for possible failure. Breakers can trip but still look as if they are properly set. Turn them completely off then back on to reset.

Jacks will not retract


The jack system is wired through various safety apertures and all must be in the proper setting for the system to work. Many require the emergency parking brake to be set, the vehicle must be in park and I have even seen one system that the driver must be in their seat with their safety belt on before that jacks would retract. The last vehicle I repaired with this issue I found that on the dash the vehicle indicated that it was in park but the neutral switch located on the transmission had not properly locked into park. Have you visually inspected the jacks to verify their position. There are times that the jacks will retract but due to low fluid level the alarm remains activated showing that the jacks are down. With these systems, in most cases, the jacks retracting is basically a release valve being activated and springs pulling the jacks back up into the retracted position.
