How do I fix a Hydraulic slide in my Itasca Motorhome

Not familiar with setup, but from what I can surmise there are at least two hydraulic cylinders that extend and retract the "room" and another, the "Synch", which makes sure the the two are at the same position

If opening is ok then system pressure may be low. Typical cylinders provide more force extending than retracting. Check pressure to spec.

If you have manual operation available, use it to check for any binding in mechanism. Determine cause and repair.

Whatever component you find is the problem, look into having it repaired/rebuilt/remanufactured. I've found cost to range from negligible to much less than 50% of new.

2015 keystone Laredo 312re Slide not extending all of the way out. Supposed to be a manual override, but where?

I had this problem several years ago.
Problem can occur at least three ways:
1. Most likely, something is in the way. A displaced trim molding, the rubber seal has moved, or ? With the slide only slightly extended, using a flashlight and mirror, examine every part of the seal/body junction inside and out that you can. A straightened coathanger can help remove a foreign object.
2. The slide might be binding. The motor would hang, draw excessive current, and shut down. Testing this would involve manual slide extension. Not familiar with Keystone, but typically, you run it out with a crank. The crank location is a round opening under slide. Depending on length of slide, there may be two. If two, they must be actuated together, or each one alternately, a little at a time. On some brands, the gear train between actuator motor and slide MUST be disengaged to allow manual extension/retraction, it depends on how the manual extension works. Hopefully you have a manual that can explain the procedure. The crank(s) to extend/retract are usually stored in the bay(s).
3. The motor has weakened. This is unlikely, if the problem is just the last inch or so.

Good luck!

No owners manual with my 2014 Freedom Elite - do you have to have plugged in to extend slide out?

If the battery is good or you are hooked to the tow vehicle the slide will deploy electrically. No need to be plugged in.

What causes the slideout not extend completely on one side

More information would be needed, i.e. yea, manufacturer, model and type of slide. But there could be many reasons, the slide mechanism may out of alignment, there may be something interfering with the slide so it will not extend. Or it could be simple such as a piece of carpet jamming on the inside!

We would need to know more about where you notice the issue!

Slide manual

On the opposite side of the coach from the slide there should be an access point that will allow you to insert a manual crank to retract or extend the slide. It is usually a small hole through the frame.
