The jack system is wired through various safety apertures and all must be in the proper setting for the system to work. Many require the emergency parking brake to be set, the vehicle must be in park and I have even seen one system that the driver must be in their seat with their safety belt on before that jacks would retract. The last vehicle I repaired with this issue I found that on the dash the vehicle indicated that it was in park but the neutral switch located on the transmission had not properly locked into park. Have you visually inspected the jacks to verify their position. There are times that the jacks will retract but due to low fluid level the alarm remains activated showing that the jacks are down. With these systems, in most cases, the jacks retracting is basically a release valve being activated and springs pulling the jacks back up into the retracted position.

On a 2000 Jayco Designer 34' 5th wheel, the large slide retracts part way in, then stops, even though the slide out motor continues to run. we have lived in it one year in the same campground.

possibly gear arm is bent. slide outs are not made to be sat and lived in. you should be able manually slide it in. try to lift slide out by the arm with a hydraulic jack. place jack on ground use a 2x4 or 4x4 between jack and gear arm and lift gently. the teeth on arm could be stripped also. just ease into it..

We have 2016 Salem by Forest River pull camper. The two slide outs and hydronic.jacks will not go in. Have checked all fuses even 12V50 amp on frame. Any ideas?

Find the motor and valve assembly. Use a meter to check voltage at the motor when you push control button. The motor runs to make hydraulic pressure anytime any button is pushed, slide or level control. If motor is not running you can go to,
and retract all with 1/8 hex wrench and drill.

How can i manually retract slide-outs on 2012 sunnybrook raven 2980bh?,d.eWE IIF this is a Schwintek slide system, this is the way you do it. If hydraulic then there is a valve near the motor/storage tank where you turn and then you insert a rod and pump it like you would a hydraulic jack. Electric motor/track slide outs you disconnect the motor and there is a place you manually turn it in.

How do i manually get the slide in?

All slides are different, but all have a way to manually retract them. If it's a hydraulic slide, usually there is a place near the reservoir/motor where you can turn a valve and insert a rod and jack it in similar to a hydraulic jack handle. If it an electric slide (motor that runs the slide on large tracks) then there is a place you can insert a rod or ratchet to turn it in. It hard to tell you exactly without knowing which slide system you have. Every manufacturer puts different ones on. I've seen many different ways to retract them.

2015 keystone Laredo 312re Slide not extending all of the way out. Supposed to be a manual override, but where?

I had this problem several years ago.
Problem can occur at least three ways:
1. Most likely, something is in the way. A displaced trim molding, the rubber seal has moved, or ? With the slide only slightly extended, using a flashlight and mirror, examine every part of the seal/body junction inside and out that you can. A straightened coathanger can help remove a foreign object.
2. The slide might be binding. The motor would hang, draw excessive current, and shut down. Testing this would involve manual slide extension. Not familiar with Keystone, but typically, you run it out with a crank. The crank location is a round opening under slide. Depending on length of slide, there may be two. If two, they must be actuated together, or each one alternately, a little at a time. On some brands, the gear train between actuator motor and slide MUST be disengaged to allow manual extension/retraction, it depends on how the manual extension works. Hopefully you have a manual that can explain the procedure. The crank(s) to extend/retract are usually stored in the bay(s).
3. The motor has weakened. This is unlikely, if the problem is just the last inch or so.

Good luck!

Repair slide <living room is extended and won`t return>

Check to ensure nothing is blocking the slideout, its path or the gears of the motor. If you don't see a dimming of the lights when you push the retraction button or don't hear any motor noise check the fuse for the slideout motor. If all else fails there should be a manual slide retraction option somewhere that allows you to retract the slideout using a crank or a power drill. Check the owner's manual.

Where is the breaker switch on the Tuscany XTE

Probably near the spot where your electrical hook up cable comes out of your RV. Sometimes there is another sub-panel inside the RV ....Usually inside one of the smaller cabinet doors. Mine is under my oven/cooktop combo. Check the GFI switch too. Usually the plug receptacle in your bathroom. Push the test button....if it clicks out the other button....that means it wasn't tripped, if it doesn't click out the other found the the other button to reset the GFI. Good luck and always work safely.

Slide manual

On the opposite side of the coach from the slide there should be an access point that will allow you to insert a manual crank to retract or extend the slide. It is usually a small hole through the frame.
