Just purchased 1993 coachman RV heater works but ac doesn't ac did come on yesterday morning when wife turned up thermostat because she was cold

check for a problem climatic control unit
if the ac gave out cold air when the thermostat was adjusted , it indicates a control problem rather than an ac problem
take it to an accredited ac specialist shop for a proper diagnosis and quote

My hot water isn't working. I'm wondering if it's because the pilot light is out... where is the pilot light so I can check?

You should be able to see the pilot light when it is dark outside. Even when it is not dark outside, you can probably see it if you peer inside, but you should also be able to hear it if you are in a quiet area. You can find the pilot light by looking at the heater and identifying the gas pipes: they are typically a little corroded and have valves on them. Just follow the gas pipe into the murky depths of the heater and look around for the blue flame. Sometimes you'll see a thin-diameter tube branch off and run in tandem with the main pipe: this conveys gas to the pilot light. Finally, you might have to open a little aluminum cover and peer inside. If you don't see a flame, you can probably identify about where it ought to be because you will see the main burners. Of course, the pilot light should be right next to the main burners and if you don't see/hear/feel heat there, your pilot is out.

I have a Itasca Horizon 2006 with a lower AC unit in it The problem is it never gets inside temp less than 10 degrees from outside. What is the Problem?

First check the temperature differential. How cold is the air coming out of the vents? How large is the volume of space to be cooled? what color is the outside of the RV? Is this a problem when you are parked or driving? You should get 20 degrees of cooling. If the unit cools and blows a lot of air then it may be that you re trying to cool too large a space and the answer maybe to close off parts of the RV when necessary. If you re driving you can certainly use the engine a/c as well. For this unit you must check the air filter and coils. Clean coils are essential. In an a/c unit cooled compressed refrigerant goes through an expansion valve and becomes cold as it expands. This cold gas makes the coils cold and takes the heat out of the air that passes through. You want the most efficient air flow and heat transfer you can muster. This a/c should do the job. So in your a/c unit there are two (2) compressors. You will not likely be able to run them both off of an inverter (if that is how you are trying to do it, without modifying the inverter for the higher loads.) You may only have one compressor working. Does the a/c do the job when plugged into shore power? If yes that solves the question. if no then figuring out if the second compressor is running is a must along with what it takes to make it kick on. With a little familiarity to how the whole system works you should be able to ferret out the way he system functions and then see what is not working properly. (PS: if you do not find an air filter then the coils will need to be thoroughly cleaned and a filter purchased. Keeping it clean is essential.)

Gas not getting to generator on class c conquest ford rv

Check how much gas is in the tank. You need more than 1/4 tank of gas for the generator to run. Safety feature so you don't run your gas tank dry while in the boonies. Shuts the gen down at 1/4 so you can still drive home. LOL

Hot waterer tank goes on but no hot water

Water heater must be FULL of water first. Be sure to bleed all air out of hot water lines all throughout the unit. Check water in heater by purging the PT valve at the top. (The one with the little lever). If no water comes out, there is no water in the heater. You can't heat water is there's none in it to heat!

Electronic ignition hot water heater (6gal) lights but wont get water hot. The red light inside my RV goes off and back on after about 3 minutes. When I checked the unit outside, the pilot is lt, but not...

check to see if setiment has settled on the pilot....blow it out with air if it has. This issue comes up often with water heaters and rv refers. If that is not the problem and the pilot remains lit, but never increases when the thermostat is turned up, you probably need a new gas valve/thermostat.

Electric heater problems.

Plug in a ceramic 120 volt or oil type space heater to keep trailer warm. Most travel trailers are propane only, they do not have electric heat strips. I would bet that is why it only blows cold air.
