Question about Tiffin Motorhomes RVs
Most newer RV's use electrical contacts rather than floats or other mechanical devices. Over time, electrical contacts get dirty and give erroneous readings. There are a number of products available that claim to clean storage tank electrodes, but one of the easiest ways to clean black water tanks is to dump a 10lb bag of ice down the toilet and drive your RV. The floating ice cubes will help dislodge any solid waste that may be clinging to the electrodes and allow them to function more accurately. It's a cheap and easy fix. It could possibly work in a gray water tank as well, however, it would be difficult to get the ice cubes down the drains. Never leave your gray and black drain valves open while in camp and hooked up to a sewer line. Allow the tanks to fill, then empty them, especially for black water.
