Question about Fleetwood 2009 Pace Arrow 38P

1 Answer

Had the jacks serviced and they said all was fine. Have it at the storage facility, covered storage on asphalt, and when we level it it says it's level, the green light goes on but the back right corner is high. I put water on my counter and it went toward the middle of the room. Can I do something manually to get it level?

Why don't the back jacks go up when I press hitch height on the control pad

The back jack are stabilizers, typically have no bearings with leveling. Once the unit is leveled, you deploy then manually just to stabilize the back end. Some of the newer units, whether electric or hydraulic, that are automatic don't come with rear stabilizers but dealerships add them (for a cost) to improve the stability.

How to Level Crossroads Cruiser

Which frame jack? The front landing gear or the stabilizer jacks at the rear of the coach? The principle in leveling is to utilize the tires and axles as the primary point of level. Make sure that you have your wheels/tires level from side to side first. Then using the landing gear at the front level from front to rear. The stabilizer jacks at the rear are not designed to support the total weight of the unit but rather to remove the bounce and sway. If the unit is raised too high with the stabilizer jacks the unit could fall to one side or the other damaging the jacks, the trailer or worse injuring someone.

How do you locate an inline fuse?

Wiring diagrams are not available as the manufactures to not publish them. There will be a series of circuit breakers that control the slide, jacks and awning. The circuit breakers are small rectangle 12v breakers with a terminal stud on each end. Some are automatic reset and others have a small black button on the side that must be reset. On a motor coach you will find these in a storage compartment and they probably will not be labeled. On travel trailers they will be located near the front of the trailer and often times will be linked together with a copper bus bar. On 5th wheels they will be located in the front storage compartment close to the battery box. Follow the positive lead from the battery back and you should locate them relatively easy. Next, make sure the nuts on the terminals are tight and using a test light make sure that you have power to each terminal on each circuit breaker. If you do not have power to the output side of the breaker then it is bad and will need to be replaced. They are amp rated so make sure you replace the breaker with the proper amp rating. I.e, 30amp or 40amp. In some rare cases the inline circuit breaker for the jacks is relatively close to the jack behind where the switch is mounted.
