2011 keystone cougar 27rls. How to switch from battery to electric.

you shouldn't have to switch if it has a generator there is a switch or plug to plug shore cord into but otherwise shore cord will run converter for 12 volts if inverter 12 volts runs but inverter only feeds certain outlets

I unhooked my aux batteries for winter storage.need to know how to reconnet them have a2014 thor chaiienger

Connect black to negative and red to positive terminals on battery(ies). Positive post on battery should be marked with a + or POS, negative with - or NEG. The cable going to 'ground' is the negative cable on 12 volt systems.

3 way fridge not working on 12 volt have checked with volt meter 12 volt not present at dc terminal fuse seems to be ok.

You need to trace down the 12 volt source wire right up to the point it gets power from the battery.

My fridge is a 3 way dometec caravan fridge for a 2016 challenger sport caravan, how do I put it on battery whilst towing

Speaking from over 15 years of RV experience (including 7 years of professionally delivering them from factories), truthfully, you should avoid the 12 volt function on an RV absorption type fridge. The dirty little secret RV dealers never tell you is the 12 volt function on a 3 way fridge, is not a useful option and more of sales feature. They draw a LOT of power so if you forget to switch to propane or shore power when arriving at the campsite, you will kill the house battery in no time. If you are stopped for any length of time and still hooked to the tow vehicle, you may also kill your tow vehicle battery too. And if your tow vehicle 12 volt power supply wire is not functioning properly, you will kill the house battery, while travelling. A much better solution is to pre-cool the fridge at home before departing, by connecting to the house power overnight. Put some freezer packs in the freezer compartment and they will keep the fridge cold. I know this does not answer your question, but trust me, this is the best route. Happy RVing!

What could be my problems if my battery was week but when I jump start it on my rv the lights worked but the 120 volt wouldn't

the 120 volt works of an inverter that takes a strong battery for it to work
jump starting is only 12 volts and that is expanded to 120 volts by the inverter
jump starting could also damaged the inverter with a power surge from connecting and disconnecting the jumper battery
Fit a new battery or have the old one load tested to ensure that the battery is failing
have the inverter tested for operation
could be a simple fuse in the inverter

Power went out when operating slide-out on battery from tow vehicle. Now I don't get any power in batter mode, only when connected to 120V AC. How do I fix?

see if you blew a fuse to the 12 volt side sometimes depending on size of slide out 120 volts and either 12 volt battery or tow vehicle will open or close especially if not used in a while or cold outside

Outlets not working all fuses are good

120-
VOLT
AC
SYSTEM
The following electrical components (if so equipped) will only operate when your
RV is connected to shore power: 120 to
12-volt power converter, air conditioner,
120-volt refrigerator, microwave oven, television(s), fireplace and appliances
plugged into convenience receptacles.

SECTION 6 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM JAYCO TOWABLE
6-2
120-
VOLT
CIRCUIT
BREAKERS
The 120-volt AC circuit breakers located in
side the main load center protect all
120-volt wiring and components in the RV fr
om circuit overloads and short circuits.
Should a circuit overload or short circui
t occur the circuit breaker protecting the
affected circuit will "trip" preventing the flow of electricity through that circuit.
If a circuit breaker trips, shut "off"
the appliance on that circuit (i.e., power
converter etc.) and allow the circuit breaker to cool down for a brief period of time.
After the cooling down period, reset the circuit breaker by moving its lever "off" and
then back to the "on" position. If the circuit breaker re-trips or frequently trips,
contact your dealer to have the electrical problem diagnosed and repaired.
A circuit breaker identification label is permanently attached to the inside surface
of the 120-volt load center.
Maintenance and Replacement
At the beginning of camping season, inspect the circuit breakers and replace as
needed. Test by turning each circuit breaker "off" and back "on". Circuit breakers
are wearable parts and must be replaced
as needed, as part of your RV
maintenance. If you have any questions, consult your dealer.
Please contact your dealer for repair assistance when replacing circuit breakers.
CONVERTER
The power converter converts 120-volt AC power to useable 12-volt DC power
when the shore power cord is connected to an external power source.
The converter has a built-in protective thermal breaker that will shut it down should
overheating occur. Overheating can be
caused by operating the converter above
its maximum power output for an extended period of time, or by an obstruction to
its ventilation air flow. To reduce converter heat build keep unnecessary 12-volt
lights and motors turned "off"
.
Keep the converter cooling fins and fan clear of
obstructions.
Inspection and maintenance
If the 12-volt power converter is not working (auxiliary battery not being charged)
check the reverse polarity fuse(s) in the converter fuse panel.
There are no
customer serviceable parts inside the converter case and the
manufacturer's warranty will be void if
the case has been removed
. If you
have further concerns contact your dealer.
