If you want to maintain optimum results then use the HP original ink as this is what the printer was designed and calibrated for. If you are happy to try another source of ink then you will have to try out some others and make sure that you calibrate your printer to suit the new ink especially if you print graphics or photos and want optimum colours to be printed. Once you are happy with the results then keep an eye on the print quality and recalibrate from time to time as necessary. Third party inks can be very good but quality control can vary considerably but if you can find a good local source of ink that has a consistent quality you can save a fortune over a period of time.
