Do you recommend the Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front...?

I would have up to now. But it recently, after a wash, signaled control locked. How to I "unlock" the control?

Easy to use. Has a few quirks but generally is a good washer. It seems pretty easy from info received w the washer how to manage any problems urself

We've had the unit for five years and this is the first problem we've had. It seems to be a very efficient mechine.

This washer is loud, and after 1.5 years the circuit board went bad, causing an F22 error and cost us $400 USD.

this is the 2nd time the door lock has broke and had to replace it. this time I only loaded the washer 3/4 full and it still got off balance and broke open and now I have to order a new lock. just ordered and replaced one less than 6 months ago sucks wouldn't recommend to anyone

I love my washing machine and dryer. They have been great workhorses in our home

We LOVE the Whirlpool Duet fron tload washers. They really save on water and it gets the clothes very clean.

vibrate on extra high spin cyle two latches ahve broken,it smells,the gasket leaks etc I would rather have a 1960 washer

I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT WORKS!IT DOES WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO! (CLEAN CLOTHES!)AND IT LOOKS GOOD DOING SO TOO! VERY HIGH TECH! LOTS OF OPTIONS! THIS MACHINE ACTUALLY MAKE ME LOOK FOR DUTY CLOTHES!

I have 3 listings in my favorites on this machine--this is not because the machine is a favorite-but it bookmarks solutions to the problems it has.
Just today Fix-it helped to open the locked door to get clothes held hostage out. The F-DL code finally saw it's last days-after several years of fighting this machine.
There is a post on fix-it on how to solder the points on the computer chip that were not originally soldered correctly-but if a bead falls into chip, it can ruin it. Well--it's already in need of replacement--best I've read, folks replace the door lock mechanism just to find out afterwards they need to replace the computer. I don't think it's a door lock failure--I think it's a computer telling the machine that it's a door lock failure.
Whirlpool pretends they know nothing of these problems---after a lifetime of purchasing all Whirlpool appliances--I am DONE. Thinking about LG for replacement-may get a few bucks from used appliance store for this GHW-0150P.
