Do you recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top...?

Constantly needing repairs. As soon as I can get rid of this appliance and get a new one, I am going to!

After paying $1000 for a washer, and having it 2 years, it is giving constant F1 errors. Thanks to this website, I found out there was a recall, and called Whirlpool directly. Service is coming next week. Hopefully, they will fix it.

My sister is a homeowner in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she has a house full of Whirlpool products that don't stand up to the product name. Several defects in the Whirlpool Cabrio washer have made having a new home with new applicances a nightmare. To begin the washer design sucks clothing through the tub and clogs the drain, the technician that Whirlpool sends argues, let me repeat ARGUES that the product isn't defective and that we somehow pushed a wash cloth through the edges...somehow via telekenisis because you can't open the top lock. This was the result fot the first $149 service call, within 15 days we had no working washer again!\r\nThe lock is broken and defective and after two loads won't drain. We called again for service as the DL code indicated in the owner's manual wouldn't clear through the instructions given, the Whirlpool representative said the repair would be free as it was within 90 days of the last repair. The SAME technician was dispatched, and again, was argumentative that the product failure was due to us jerking the lid open during the cycle. *(Evidently we felt like shoving another washcloth down the drain!) She said the lock broke, then said we broke it, then noted it was going to be $235 dollars to fix. Note, $235 was way more than free based on the Whirlpool representative's indication. After accusing us of jerking the washing machine lid open, I asked her nicely if she possibly broke it during her repair, which included her having to move the tub directionaly to remove the washcloth. She said absolutely not, I noted it was a mute point as her work was warrantied for 90 days. She refused to do any work without Whirlpool indicating it was free. So after a weeks wait, second repair due to faulty design, she left without calling on her own, indicated she could not give me any way to reach her company *(the repair work is done by approved repair vendors), but hers is unable to be reached, and she would not stay while I called Whirlpool Corporate. I called Whirlpool Corporate and the young man I spoke to was very friendly, and put me on hold for about twenty minutes while I waited for him to debate the free service issue with A&E repair an authorized Whirlpool repair company for Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is allegedly sending her *(shudder as I worry she will still not repair this ridiculous product correctly) to return and repair it for free. Please let me suggest you do not waste your money on this product, after what would have been nearly $400 dollars in repairs after a year... SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy a LG PRODUCT! They don't **** like this one does. Let me add, in this house alone, Whirlpool Refrigerator, icemaker has to be defrosted to work daily with a hair dryer..this is the product line's indication..sounds safe right? Whirlpool water heater..ignition switch recalled, still not repaired...nice and dangerous. Very Dissapointing Job Whirlpool! Please note, my washer is still not fixed.

its a piece of ****...whirlpool will not stand behind, plus you call tech support and they tell you 2 different possiblities and come to find out it wasn't either one. The equipment sure reflects the brand
