Motorcycle Question

Can anyone help with 1st motorcycle...

Posted by zizi_tripo on Apr 22, 2009

Hi, I've just completed the motorcycle safety class and am ready to buy my first motorcycle. Here are a few points to keep in mind when coming up with suggestions: - I'd like to spend less than $5000 - I will be riding on city streets mostly until I get more comfortable, at which point, I will buy a bigger bike. - I don't want a sportbike or a harley - yet - I don't think I want anything over 1000 ccs while I'm still learning. Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I think a 650 Honda Shadow is the best learner bike you can get, you can usually find one for about, 3-4K in good shape. That is what I got first b/c it is lighter and still has enough power to ride down the highway and not get ran over. Hope I helped.
