what should I look for in a new serger?

I have a hobbylock 786 which is rapidly becoming as antique!! My local repair/dealer was unable to locate parts the last time it needed work. Now a part got damaged transporting the machine to help a friend sew for a wedding and I'm guessing it will again be weeks before it can be repaired due to unavailable parts. I loved this machine and it has served me well but its time to move on.... what should I look for in a new serger???
